Sheely grew up in Tacoma, WA, and graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BA in Psychology. For nearly 10 years, she ran education and teen programs at Boys & Girls Clubs in Tacoma and Seattle, where she was first introduced to the Youth Program Quality Intervention. In 2009, she completed her Master of Public Administration and Nonprofit Management at Seattle University. In 2011, Sheely started running a small business, Elite Services & Support, which helps nonprofits with IT consulting, and worked part-time as a PQA trainer, coach and external assessor for School’s Out Washington (SOWA). Sheely now serves as SOWA’s Statewide Out-of-School-Time Quality Manager to help explore how best Washington State can support providers with the training and resources needed to encourage high-quality programs across the age continuum.
Sheely enjoys writing, collaborating on projects, designing and developing systems for a variety of functions, and coordinating special events. Outside of youth development, Sheely is a self-published author (link to https://www.amazon.com/Grabbing-Spoon-Sheely-Mauck/dp/150021499X/) In her free time, she enjoys swimming, bocce ball, and spending time with family.
