The David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality, an operating unit and the largest center of the Forum for Youth Investment, builds the capacity of public and private agencies to implement quality improvement and performance systems that simultaneously foster professional learning and whole-child development with the purpose of improving social-sector outcomes. More specifically, Weikart’s research-based core products and services are currently used in over 4,700 out-of-school time settings nationally and form the basis for quality improvement systems in over 125 publicly and privately funded systems. Opportunities: 

Director of Research and Evaluation

The Director of Research & Evaluation will play an instrumental role in advancing the Weikart Center’s research-driven youth development and quality improvement initiatives. The director will lead an applied research and evaluation team to design, conduct and manage a range of collaborative research and evaluation projects that support our clients, partners and the youth development field in leveraging continuous improvement approaches to strengthen practices and programs. The director will execute formative and summative evaluations; create and enhance measurement tools; and promote data use for continuous improvement internally and externally. The Director will work closely with the Forum for Youth Investment’s senior leadership team to fully utilize the knowledge resources of the organization toward advancement of mission and growth. The ideal candidate will blend superior quantitative and methodological skills with content knowledge in youth development, education and improvement science to drive quality, increase the value and impact of services, and strengthen the field.

Training Design & Delivery Specialist

The Training Specialist, part of the newly organized Design Team, will coordinate the delivery of capacity-building training and technical assistance to the Weikart Center’s national clients in the youth development field. Key responsibilities will include: (a) coordinating all aspects of delivery of the Weikart Center’s core capacity-building training workshops; (b) facilitating ongoing updates to training curricula and supporting materials; (c) supporting the Weikart Center’s team of Field Consultants and TOT graduates; and (d) administration.

Senior Program Associate –Technical Assistance and Coaching Support Systems (TACSS) Initiative

The Senior Program Associate will bring superior knowledge of positive youth development practices, afterschool program models, and experience providing data-driven planning services in the education or human services fields, and leverage this knowledge to support continuous improvement efforts in Out-of-School Time (OST) settings. The Senior Program Associate will coach 21st CCLC grantee directors, site supervisors, and direct service staff, and develop close, collaborative working relationships in order to support aligned development and execution of multi-year program quality improvement initiatives.
