(This event is open to Michigan 21st CCLC Grantees Only) Assessing Assessment – Join us for lunch, networking, and some great discussion about continuous quality improvement in your programs. We’ll spend time reviewing the Youth Program Quality Assessment tool and some activities you can lead with your teams to deepen their understanding of the scales and items. Identifying opportunities for leadership and meaningful experiences for your staff to participate in the process will be emphasized.

(This event is open to Michigan 21st CCLC Grantees Only) PQA Refresh and Beyond is the first professional development opportunity in our NEW Capacity Building Series the TACSS initiative is launching this year for Site Coordinators. This three part series will offer Site Coordinators the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skill around developing a Quality Improvement System within their 21st CCLC grant and organizations. PQA Refresh and Beyond workshop will review the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI) process at the Management level, Program Site level and the Frontline Youth Worker level. The workshop will explore the ways to maximize the YPQI resources to enrich your staff meetings, professional development plans and grant goals.

This learning community will emphasize how Project Directors can utilize both their leadership and management to support Site Coordinators as they implement the Assess-Plan-Improve cycle with fidelity. Session #2 - Planning with Data is likely the event that produces your Program Improvement Plans, but it’s much more than that. The planning process is an opportunity to clarify and communicate vision, establish expectations, and develop accountability measures that lead to real change and better experiences for youth. Great planning requires planning. Let’s talk about that.

You will learn how to grow a culture of performance accountability within your team through a low stakes infrastructure for continuous quality improvement. After completing this training program, you will: value the role of a coach in a continuous improvement process; be able to identify appropriate coaching approaches, strategies, and techniques; and be able to facilitate a coaching relationship with your team.
